The Torch Update Mod introduces some impressive enhancements to Minecraft's lighting system. One notable feature is the addition of Hand Held Torches, which greatly facilitate cave exploration. Holding a torch illuminates the surrounding area, and even throwing the lit item still provides illumination. However, it is important to keep track of your torch supply, as they will burn out every 30 seconds when held, depleting your stock.

This mod also includes a nice touch of realism by adding a small light when carrying a torch. This prevents it from feeling overpowering and enhances the overall immersion of gameplay.
